Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@1shotfirearms.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • Purchase your firearm. If it is from a site that doesn't have us listed as a dealer we will send a copy of our FFL to that dealer.
  • The firearm will be shipped to 1 Shot Firearms, 1081 Toll Rd., Effort, PA 18330.
  • PLEASE DO NOT USE FEDEX - WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE DELIVERY FROM THEM.
  • We will contact you when the firearm is received to schedule your transfer appointment.
  • Bring your PA driver's license and $20.00 per firearm for the transfer.
  • During the appointment, you will complete the necessary paperwork and have your PICS background check completed.
  • Upon passing the background check you will receive the firearm.
  • If you fail the background check you will be given a PICS Challenge Form, (SP4-197) and the firearm will be held or returned to the place you purchased it from.

  • Persons convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
  • Persons under indictment for a crime punishable by imprisonment for more than one year are ineligible to receive, transport or ship antem.

  • While there may be exceptions, the answer is typically no. The safest way to ship a firearm is to handle the transfer from one FFL to another. Let me know what you are shipping and I can help you with the transfer.

  • Purchase the suppressor online.
  • The dealer will contact me for a copy of my FFL and SOT to confirm I can receive the suppressor.  (The time frame waiting for the suppressor to arrive will depend on where it is coming from and the length of time the ATF takes to approve the release of the suppressor 4-6 weeks or maybe more.)
  • While waiting for the suppressor to arrive at my office you will need to do the following:  Have 2 fingerprint cards done. (I have the fingerprint cards available at my office.) You can go anywhere but I have had these done at Monroe County Correctional Facility by calling them at 570-992-3232. You will need to bring a $25.00 money order.
  • Have 3 passport photos taken of yourself. You can go anywhere but I had mine done at the local CVS.
  • Once the suppressor arrives at my office, I will have you come in to complete the application. Bring the following with you: driver's license, fingerprint cards, passport photos,  credit card for the online payment to “BATFE” for $200.00 for your application fee, and $75.00 for my transfer fee.
  • Once approved the ATF will send me a copy of your approved application. I will then call you to come back into the office to complete the transfer of the suppressor into your name. No charges at this time.
